Set Up Your Wallet
Elastos Essentials is the official wallet for the Elastos ecosystem. It supports 22+ blockchain networks from a single recovery phrase and provides built-in access to staking, governance, identity, and decentralized applications.
Step 1: Download Essentials
Download Elastos Essentials from the official sources only:
- iOS: Apple App Store
- Android: Google Play
Only download from official app stores. Never install wallet apps from third-party websites or links shared in messages.
Step 2: Create a New Wallet
- Open Essentials and tap Create a new wallet
- Choose a wallet name
- Set a spending password (this protects transactions, not account access)
- The app will generate a 12-word recovery phrase
Step 3: Back Up Your Recovery Phrase
Your recovery phrase is the only way to restore your wallet if you lose your device. Write it down on paper and store it somewhere safe.
Never share your recovery phrase with anyone. Never store it in screenshots, notes apps, or cloud storage. Anyone with these 12 words has full access to your funds.
Step 4: Verify Your Backup
Essentials will ask you to confirm your recovery phrase by selecting the words in the correct order. Complete this step to verify your backup is accurate.
Understanding Your Wallet
After setup, your wallet contains multiple addresses across different Elastos chains:

All three are derived from your single recovery phrase. You do not need separate wallets for each chain.
